Look Great at Any Age
Whether you are 21 or 71, Dr. Alexander Ereso wants you to look and feel your best. The key to looking and feeling good at any age is to understand what you can’t control – namely, the aging process, the effects of pregnancy and your genetics – and what you can do about things that bother you. Working with a talented plastic surgeon is an excellent way to minimize what you don’t like about your appearance and accentuate what you love!
Here, our Bay Area plastic surgeon outlines some of the most popular cosmetic treatments, broken down by age group.
20s and 30s
Breast augmentation: Millions of women have had their breasts enlarged with implants and many of them choose to do so in their 20s and 30s. Some want to enhance naturally small breasts to fill out clothing or bathing suits; others want to even out asymmetry between the breasts. Women in their 30s may be finished having children and want to restore volume lost to nursing.
Male breast reduction: Male breast reduction, which flattens and firms the chest, is popular among men in their 20s and 30s that struggle with gynecomastia and want to feel more confident in relationships or the workplace.
Botox and fillers: Men and women usually start to see fine lines and wrinkles crop up around the face in their 30s. These signs of aging are typically noticeable but not severe enough to warrant surgical correction, making Botox and fillers the perfect solution.
40s
Breast lift: By the age of 40, a woman’s breasts may sag and look deflated or shapeless due to the effects of pregnancy, nursing, weight fluctuation or the effects of gravity. Breast lift repositions the breasts higher on the chest by trimming excess skin and tightening the tissues. Implants may or may not be placed during breast lift. Implants may be used to restore lost volume or to add projection which a lift itself may not be able to provide.
Tummy tuck: The stomach is a common problem area, particularly among women in their 40s that have had multiple children. Tummy tuck reverses the changes caused by pregnancy, including stretched skin, excess fat pockets and damaged muscles.
Laser skin resurfacing: Skin quality and texture can diminish by a person’s 40s. Areas of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines and uneven pigmentation are common. Laser skin resurfacing is a safe and effective non-surgical solution to achieve clearer, more radiant skin.
50s and 60s (and up)
Facelift and neck lift: Adults in their 50s and 60s tend to have more pronounced signs of facial aging, often concentrated around the mid and lower areas of the face. Facelift and neck lift can take years off the appearance of the face by reshaping the deep tissues, restoring areas of fat loss and re-draping the skin more tightly over the facial structures.
