Are You A Candidate For BOTOX®
If you have noticed that your face has lost elasticity and shape over time, you may be considering BOTOX® treatment to address these effects. Here are a few things we look for to determine if you are a good candidate:
- Moderate to severe facial wrinkles
- Marionette lines around the mouth
- Wrinkles located in the forehead area, between the eyes or around the neck
- Realistic expectations of the results
BOTOX® Benefits
here are many reasons why our patients love BOTOX® treatment. The injections take only minutes to administer and cause little (if any) discomfort. Aftereffects are usually mild and serious side effects are extremely rare. The treated skin looks smoother and more youthful within a few days of BOTOX® injections, with the improvements lasting for months at a time.
Why Choose Us?
Dr. Ereso and Nurse Iwona are professionals who specialize in enhancing your natural facial features with all forms of injectables, including BOTOX®. With our years of training and experience, we understand exactly how much product to use and where to inject it for the best results. Our high degree of skin and artistic judgement enables us to soften wrinkles without making you look frozen or artificial. We are also committed to making your treatment experience satisfying. Whether it’s your first BOTOX® appointment or your tenth, we will make time to answer your questions and address any concerns you have, so you feel completely comfortable and well-informed.
Consultation With Dr. Ereso And Nurse Iwona
During your BOTOX® consultation, our knowledgeable professionals will assess your facial anatomy, including your “trouble” spots, and advise whether BOTOX® or another treatment will provide the desired improvements. If BOTOX® is suitable for your needs, the injector will recommend a treatment plan, explaining how many units of BOTOX® you will require and where the product will be injected. You are invited to ask any questions you have about the treatment or results. If you have concerns about the safety profile of BOTOX®, please do not hesitate to bring them up to your injector.
Preparation
Preparing for BOTOX® is generally not as involved as it is with preparing for plastic surgery. Do not smoke or drink alcohol for 48 hours prior to your appointment. Be sure to let your injector know about any medications you take or allergies you have. You will be advised to stop or change any blood-thinning medications, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, prior to treatment.
BOTOX® Treatment Details
Usually, 15-50 units of BOTOX® Cosmetic are injected with a tiny needle into the muscle that creates a wrinkle. When BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area, and as a result, the muscle weakens. As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles in the skin gradually soften and often disappear. Established furrows will be improved but will not be erased. A cream with local anesthetic will be placed on your skin prior to treatment, and ice will be immediately applied upon completion of your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.
Our knowledgeable professionals are happy to answer any questions you may have about the BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure. Potential patients can call to set up an informative consultation today.
BOTOX® Downtime And Results
BOTOX® Cosmetic has proven to be the best non-surgical form of facial rejuvenation producing phenomenal improvements with a minimum of risk. The duration of its effect, which is two to four months, is its only drawback. Our comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy and the BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure ensures the best results possible.
After your initial BOTOX® treatment, we will ask you to return in two to four weeks for reevaluation. Occasionally small amounts of additional BOTOX® Cosmetic will be recommended to achieve your ideal result. Patients will frequently repeat two to four treatments in a year to maintain their new look.
Injectable Risks/Safety
BOTOX® Cosmetic has been used safely and successfully in ophthalmology for many years. In the amounts used for wrinkle therapy, the only side effects are temporary and localized to the area of injection. Sometimes the brow and forehead feel heavy and droopy. Occasionally bruising occurs at the sites of injection. You may have a headache immediately after treatment that usually responds well to acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil®, Motrin®, Nuprin®).
Dr. Ereso or Nurse Iwona will inform you of the possible complications of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Be sure to raise any questions you may have about the safety of the procedure.
By carefully following their advice and instructions – both before and after treatment – you can minimize some of the risks.
As with any cosmetic procedure, an experienced medical professional is key to optimal results. Dr. Ereso and Nurse Iwona have been catering to the plastic surgery needs of the entire San Jose Bay Area for many years. They have the extensive knowledge and expertise to give you the safe, effective BOTOX® Cosmetic experience you deserve.
Complementary Procedures
BOTOX® can be performed as a stand-alone procedure or paired with another non-surgical procedure. BOTOX® and dermal fillers are a great combination to simultaneously address dynamic and static facial wrinkles. Other non-surgical procedures such as laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels can be enhanced with a few well-placed BOTOX® injections.
BOTOX® can also complement the results of facial plastic surgery, such as facelift, eyelid lift or brow lift.
For a custom treatment plan that addresses your skin care needs, please consult with Dr. Ereso and our team of professionals.
BOTOX® VS. DYSPORT®
Both BOTOX® and Dysport® are safe and effective for wrinkle reduction. Though the products behave the same, there are slight differences in the formulations. BOTOX® is usually recommended for treating smaller areas, whereas Dysport® is better for larger areas. Dysport® patients also report seeing improvements slightly sooner than BOTOX® patients.
Our team of professionals will explain your options and help you pick the product that is best for your needs.
BOTOX® Costs/Financing
The cost of BOTOX® treatment is based on the number of units you require as well as the number of areas you choose to treat.
